I’m David Guetta Bitch

Honestly, I wanted more from this track but I'll hook ya up with it anyway.  David Guetta teamed up with Rihanna on this electro-pop track which isn't that much different from your average Guetta sound; however, the 'Fuck Me I'm Famous Mix' isnt bad (if you didn't already know, FMIF is Guetta's remix title) and Afrojack throws down with his mixes. I'm really getting into Dub, glad to see these two feel me. Here's some options for your listening pleasure

Zeds Dead, Baby

Their name taken from that famous line from Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, the Canadian duo comprised of Hooks and DC, just set off their first North American (real America) tour that begun on November 24. They will be hitting LA for the very first time this Saturday at Winterfresh Festival, and are Part 1 of a series of reviews of artists that are atop my "Must See" list for this weekend. The Zeds Dead sound is one that is almost unlike any other, with an obvious strong influence in Dubstep but they also sneak in a bunch of Electro and even House sounds into their releases. What impresses me most about Zeds Dead though is that they'll keep you nodding your head back n forth to their sounds no matter what genre they really belong to. They've already come out with jaw-dropping remixes of songs by artists such as The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, and Sublime, but here are 3 of my favorite Zeds tracks.

Radiohead - Pyramid Song (Zeds Dead Illuminati Remix)

Blue Foundation - Eyes on Fire (Zeds Dead Remix)

Massive Attack - Paradise Circus (Zeds Dead Remix)

Gettin drunk and eating leftovers is what this weekend is all about, and that's exactly what I've got here - tasty leftovers... Mark Ronson's 'Somebody to Love Me' was already a complete track with some sexy vocals on it, but a Congorock rework with its signature tribal sound ==> downright dirty. the 2nd track is a brilliant original by sir sidney samson. hope you're enjoying the holiday time-off. cheeyaz

New! Bloody Beetroots

Fresh from their North American Tour, The Bloody Beetroots are back with a remix of "Can't Stop Me Now" by the Belgian electro rock group Goose. Goose has been around since 2000 and quickly gained popularity in Europe when their debut single was used in a Coca Cola commercial. In 2006 many of you probably heard their single "Bring it On" from their first album in a car ad that played here in the states. Most recently, Goose released their sophomore album titled Synrise on October 18, 2010. Bob Rifo has done it again, remixing "Can't Stop Me Now" into a glorious anthem.

I ♥ House

It's another thirsty thursday and I've reached deep into the vault for you and snagged a couple of tracks that were each released by 1/3 of Swedish House Mafia (pictured above) that will no doubt satisfy your needs. While we all know the glorious power of the group as a whole, these fellas can really put in work as individual producers as well - the two featured tracks perfectly exemplify the talents of both Axwell (far left) & Steve Angello (far right). Both songs have a house-like vibe to them, and both are personal favorites of mine. The first song, KNAS, is a great original by sir Angello and has been one of my favorites since the summer. The edit of Temper Trap's 'Sweet Disposition' really morphs the track to another level, as Axwell and Dirty South have combined to create a great remix that successfully makes the genre transition from indie to house. Any chance to see one, two, or the 3 members together should not be missed...these guys are killing it right now.

Girl Talk New Album

Here's the newest mix by Greg Gillis (aka Girl Talk) released on this very day. It's been a while since his last album, at least there is an improvement.  Get ready to hear your 'favorite' songs mashed up at awkward tempos (the novelty never wears off...I'm a sucker for it too). Check out the Hollywood Palladium - March 21st if you want to see him live. He puts on a good show, usually getting the audience crazy by letting them onstage to join in the chaos, only to be kicked off by huge bouncers. Check out our link below or here's one to his download site (ours is faster).

I've been an avid supporter of Cold Blank for a minute now. Comprised of Christopher Gaspar & Manuel Luquin, these cats are based out of Los Angeles and create eclectic original productions engineered for pure dance-floor mayhem. Their work stems from a diverse appreciation for all things electronic, sampling sounds from disco, house, techno, and electro/hip-hop. CB has risen to the top fast, as they've garnered support from the likes of: Arman Van Buren, Above & Beyond, Axwell, David Guetta, Designer Drugs, Fischerspooner, and Foamo [just to name a few]. If ya dig, be sure to sign up for their mailing list HERE to receive updates, info, & new track alerts. Evolution of the Mau5

If you have seen Deadmau5 play in the past year you might be wondering where his beautiful side-chained rhythms have gone. Well you have witnessed the evolution of the mau5. With harder womp-womp dubstep sounds and heavy bass drum hits his transition is complete with the his new album '4x4=12' and yesterday's release, 'Right This Second.' Shout out to Rukes, the greatest DJ photographer there is. I asked him where he got his name, he said, "it was a typo and it stuck" hah!

Swedish House Mafia HOOK UP

Every time a DJ drops 'One' the crowd gets rowdy. The Swedish House Mafia, made up of AxwellSteve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have to be one of the greatest international shows of all time. Eric Prydz (call on meeeee) used to be a member but since his move to London, the three others decided he could no longer be a part of the group. Last set I saw Steve Angello  play, he said is he's about to move to the greatest city in the world: Los Angeles, I wonder what that means for the crew.

Below I have included parts of their mixtape album just released called "Until One"
An amazing mix of their hit singles. I highly recommend it

Something to look forward to: On November 22 they will be releasing their DVD documentary called 'Take One.' It took two years, 285 shows and 15 countries to conquer. Get excited.
For now, check out their music video for 'Leave the World Behind,' an expose of the coolest life out there.

In the Uppermost Corner

Born Behdad Nejatbakhshe, the French DJ/producer now known as Uppermost has slowly begun to hit the scene with his hard-hitting electro beats. His unique sound follows the lines of some big names, such as Wolfgang Gartner as well as some up-and-coming artists, like Felguk. Still yet to play a show in the US, Uppermost has gained rapid popularity around Europe and his sounds have even often been referred to as a more free, unpredictable version of Deadmau5's early releases. Already recognized by his impressive singles such as 'Equivocal' and 'We Are', his head-banging remixes, including his version of the always-famous 'What Is Love', are mostly still under the radar just waiting to surprise your ears. All of Uppermost's tracks can be downloaded directly from his Myspace, but here's a few to tide you over.

Also, check out the comparison between the Side By Side remix and Mau5's 'FML' (I'll throw in a link for that also)... The two are pretty similar, yet Uppermost might have found a way to one-up the #4 DJ in the world.

BetaTraxx

Betatraxx, formerly known as Redlight, has hit the underground scene hard over the last 6 months. His style is distinctive and original, yet sounds as if it were the lovechild of Wolfgang Gartner and Glitch Mob (some very high praise, mind you).  The comparison stems from his ability to formulate a complex melody, complete with multiple layers (many of which entail a bit of the mobster's glitch-hop  sound), while staying committed to its full-circulation at a high sonic quality. I have literally yet to listen to a release that I have not been impressed with, as he constantly delivers solid originals and/or beautifully tweaked remixes that have his beta fingerprints all over them. Furthermore, word has it that this cat has added a live drummer to his set, Nick Gross (who apparently tears shit up) - taking a page out of the whole DC77 and Pretty Lights acts idea. I'm not going to lie, I'm a huge fan of the morphing of electronic dj sets paired with live instrumentation; it takes these performances from the monotony of repetitive sound and launches them to a previously unachievable level, riddled with a spontaneity and creative freedom that is rarely found in the electronic music scene (thank you Travis Barker & A-Trak - you fellas really left your mark on the industry). While, I've never had the pleasure of attending one of his shows, apparently Beta is a dance-floor slaying machine. Also, worthy of mention is that he is the first artist to be officially signed under the GDD management label (congratulations to Gotta Dance Dirty for absolutely running shit; from a blog to a label...god damn people). Anyway, check this kid out and be on the look out for many more promising releases in the near future. Cheers

I'm still so pumped about Boys Noize's set Halloween Weekend at Hard Haunted Mansion. They absolutely rocked the show and made my weekend. Some of you may recall the Hard New Year's Eve disaster last year when Boys Noize trainwrecked after only a few minutes. Ever since then I had been waiting for my chance to see him again. These two tracks are absolute bangers. Got em on repeat.

DxE Exclusive! :: TRON LEGACY :: OST by Daft Punk

A first peek at Daft Punk's masterpiece. Tron Legacy (2011) is rumored to be accompanied with the release of a new album produced by Daft Punk (Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo). The first few tracks are music/sound FX that should make an epic soundtrack behind the awesome visuals Disney is pumping an estimated $150,000,000 into. In this leak album are a few gems: there's a live version of Derezzed which will be released early 2011, recorded in an underground club in France and a banger track the two recorded with their ex-manager,  Busy P (he kills it) . The collaboration between Tron, Disney($) and Daft Punk might be the coolest combo in history. Oh, and check these out, already pre-ordered mine. au revoir

deadmau5 – sofi needs a ladder

I've seen the mau5 3 x this year and I've found him to be pretty hit or miss. Something about his approach seems to get old and often leaves me wanting something more. That being said, I'm not always blown away with his live sets, however, the performance that he gave at Coachella 2010 was one of my all time favorites... Maybe it was because I entered the evening with low expectations or perhaps because it was the official introduction to the cube o' cheese display that left the crowd drooling... whatever the reason, deadmau5 rocked his little face off that night (as well as the faces of some 10,000 + fans). Anywho, that was the first time that I can remember hearing this track and have been waiting for it to be released ever since. Enjoy & be sure to pick up the full release (320) at Beatport.

Mightyfools is a creative duo from the Netherlands that has been consistently pumping out groovy jams for quite some time. These cats use a wide-range of sounds that makes it difficult to say what type of music they consistently make, as they draw inspiration from a number of genres, including: rock, rnb, hip-hop, and straight up funk. However, they continually produce work from this eclectic selection of music, successfully mixing the assortment into powerful electronic, house, techno, and dubstep originals.
