Recover time after one hell of a halloweekend. Pics and reviews of both the Mau5 and Escape epicness coming in the new few days so look out for yourselves if you were part of the madness. It’s bootleg week for this newest Volume of The Daze. Happy halloween to everyone, hopefully you’ve all left a little in the tank for one last day n night of celebrating.
These are some SpPPppOOOOoookkKKkyyyYyy Halloween-themed tunes that are bound to send chills down your spine… mostly because they are straight bangers! Have a great Halloween weekend, be safe, eat candy, make candy, exchange candy
Epic night down in SD with some crazy sets thrown down by the mau5trap crew, with a little special Avicii set that absolutely blew my mind (he played a remix or mashup of Dirty South’s “Alive” that I had never heard before and had the entire place going nuts!) Look out for the pics coming your way in the next couple of days. Almost headed straight to San Bernadino for the sold out Escape From Wonderland which gets started in just a couple minutes but had to stop by home to throw up your weekly six pack. In honor of all the raves going on all over the city, state, country and nation here’s a pack of massive bangers that you’ve all either heard or would absolutely die to hear at a massive. Cheers everyone, stay thirsty.
I love when really successful DJs like Tiesto or Swedish House Mafia come out with great original mixes because it usually leads to some banger remixes too! Tiesto’s latest and greatest – “Maximal Crazy” – has just had the latest treatment done by some of my favorite Electro DJs at the moment, including: Bassjackers and another one by Swanky Tunes & R3hab. Both of these are very dirty while keeping the basic melody of the original. Check them out:
It was crystal clear from the moment Avicii first played ‘LEVELS’ back in January 2011, that he, along with manager, mentor and executive producer Ash Pournouri, had created a piece of music that would take on a life of its own. No one had any idea it would grow into the timeless classic it’s become, and even before release!
Now, finally, and as Universal Music and Interscope Records prepare the imminent release of what is certain to be one of the biggest records of the year, Avicii and Ash have decided to share a little reminder of its incredible journey from dance-floor to music store. This teaser video shows things much better than we ever could explain… It’s told by the hundreds of thousands that took in their own dose of ‘LEVELS’.
There are so few records that actually manage to encapsulate the passion, emotion and general feeling of ecstasy that ‘LEVELS’ does. With truly remarkable footage capture over the past 12 months from across the world, this 2-minute movie shows the global phenomenon that ‘LEVELS’ has become.
It is said that music is the universal language of he world, and if you’ve experienced ‘LEVELS’ live, heard it on the radio, or heard someone humming it at the checkout you’re encouraged to believe that notion. Not in recent memory has one single piece of music, so incredible in its simplicity, stirred so much shared sensation across all walks of life. It’s a work of art, and it’s truly in a league of it’s own. It’s LEVELS.
The man himself will be joining the mau5trap crew on Mau5′s “Meowington’s Hax Tour” tomorrow night down in San Diego in what they’re calling ‘Halloween Ghosts N Stuff.” The two of them would be enough on their own, but adding in one of my favorite producers/DJs Feed Me and the rest of the mau5 entourage takes it to a whole different level (pun… intended?) The show will Mau5′s first ever stadium show, as he becomes only the 3rd performer to ever play on the field of Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres) joining The Rolling Stones and Madonna. You can still grab your tix for this historic event right here.
Just over one week ago swedish producer, Avicii, who sold out his New York NYE set in less than 10 minutes held a banging surprise show at the monumental Studio 54 in NYC. Studio 54 was once considered the top club in the world throughout the 70′s and 80′s, hosting glorious events and attracting top notch talent and guest lists on the weekly. The club was forced to shut down in the early 90′s and has remained a space haunted by the ghosts of its magical past; that is, until Avicii set up shop last week for One Night Only. Thrown in authentic Studio 54 fashion, the club kept an insanely exclusive guest list, not selling tickets and had the doormen decide who got in off the streets based off of attendees attire. Behold the track list and live set available for your downloading convenience below. Enjoy this one ladies n’ gents, as this is our best taste of understanding what a hectic evening it must’ve been!! Cheers
