Dirty South remixes Miike Snow’s “Devil’s Work”
I first heard this track at the beginning of Dirty South’s set at the LED event that took place at the San Diego Sports Arena (one of the best events I’ve had the privileges of attending) and pretty sure it was the first time the man from Down Unda had ever dropped it live.
Yesterday, Phazing Records officially released the Dirty South remix of “Devil’s Work” from Miike Snow – named Essential New Tune for Miami Music Week by Pete Tong, Dirty South’s interpretation of “Devil’s Work” is one of the most talked about remixes of the spring and a mainstay in the sets of the world’s finest DJs.
It’s been an amazing year for Miike Snow as they continue their sold out tour in support of of the critically acclaimed sophomore album, “Happy To You.” The band follows up an amazing performance at Coachella (they played to a record-breaking crowd of over 45,000, headlining Stage 2 on Saturday) with dates in Paris, Cologne & Berlin before heading to the UK for Brixton Academy London & Manchester Ritz – their largest UK shows to date.
Dirty South is perhaps the most versatile talent currently working in the dance world. In 2011 he experienced tremendous growth on all facets of his game – As a producer he produced two of last year’s biggest hits in “Alive” (with Thomas Gold) and “Walking Alone” delivered remixes which were instant global anthems with his take on Diddy Dirty Money “Coming Home” and Skylar Grey “invisible.” In January 2012 Dirty South reunited with Thomas Gold for one of the winter’s biggest tracks, “Eyes Wide Open (ft. Kate Elsworth)”
After all the anticipation release day is finally here…it’s time to do the Devils Work.

Major Lazor – Get Free (Ft. Amber Coffman)
Major Lazer, currently just Diplo doing his thing less Switch, as the two recently split ways, is up to no good with a new release through maddecent records. The track, ‘Get Free’, features vocals from the chillingly sweet Amber Coffman, whose voice has been permanently camped in my dome since I first heard her on the track ‘Hold On’, and it is definitely something special. The best part is that they’re giving it away for free, head over to THIS LINK HERE to receive a free download of the above song, as well as a remix by Bonde do Role.

Cedric Gervais – Molly (Official Music Video)
Cedric Gervais finally translates his huge house single ‘Molly’ to an aesthetic platform. Gervais’ original production is a nice house/trance track with a ridiculously overt message. It’s for all the dirty dancers out there that don’t want their night to end. He’s done a fantastic job with the video, in its manifestation of the subject…I’d say he definitely gets the point across hah. Anyway, the track is pretty bumping and the video is downright sexy – please keep your clothes on while viewing.
WE FOUND HER!
The hero hunter Wynter Gordon was able to catch the one and only Superhero who had the strength to Speak Up — Laidback Luke.
OUT NOW:
on Beatport http://bit.ly/SpeakUpB
Laidback Luke’s long-awaited single featuring Wynter Gordon – “Speak Up” has been smashing the Beatport charts since its release on the 12.03.2012! With Laidback Luke’s sick drops and Wynter Gordons chart topping credentials this track is ready to explode and make you #speakupabout anything you have ever been afraid to say — like the 2000 people on Twitter!
The video shows Laidback Luke as a superhero which has been caught by Wynter Gordon. She tries to kick a confession out of him so that she can take over his superpowers. Laidback Luke won’t give up with his infamous drops and Wynter Gordon’s threats will not make him SPEAK UP!
Already well known for a multitude of collaborations with various big names including David Guetta, Diplo and A-Trak, Laidback Luke more recently hooked up with Sander van Doorn on the stellar track Who’s Wearing The Cap, a mash up of trance, progressive and electro. Luke’s latest collaboration with Arno Cost and Norman Doray “Trilogy” went successful on charts in no time. 2011 also saw Luke enjoying chart success on UK Top 40 hit, Natural Disaster with Example, as well as his work with Steve Aoki and the master of crunk Lil’ Jon on Turbulence that took over Radio 1 airwaves.
Never one to shy away from an edgier sound, Laidback Luke injects a high dose of energy to Speak Up with a stomping build-up throughout the first half of the track that leads to a softer, suspenseful melody, supported by Wynter Gordon’s vocals. Luke then goes full steam ahead and launches into another intense, aggressive build up to see the track through to the end. The perfect recipe for a chart crossover club anthem!
In addition to working with fellow stalwarts of the electronic music industry, Luke has also remixed stellar pop acts from Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, MSTRKRFT ft. John Legend, Dizzee Rascal, Avicii and Moby to name a few. Its not just producing music that has keeps Luke busy. With his very own Super You&Me tent at Creamfields and a residency at Cream Ibiza last summer where he hosted the Mixmag Terrace on six dates, we can only wonder when he ever has any time to be “Laidback”..!
The Speak Up is soon to be followed by the remixes from Chris Lake, Mark Knight, Oliver Twizt, Moska, Das Kapital and Calvertron & Will Bailey who all put their own unique stamp on the track. The remixes package is out on the 26th of March via Beatport.
