Holy ear murder.... This is my first experience with Far Too Loud, but I can damn well assure you that after hearing this, it will be far from my last. Oli Cash, a.k.a Far Too Loud, is a DJ/Producer from Brighton, Britain. His style is wide reaching, covering everything from Breakbeat to Dirty Eletro/House, with a stop at DnB in between. His newest track, Drop The Bomb, is just ridiculous and it has freaking everything. It is complete with Melodic, piano based synths, some modern talking and a really grimy bassline. Major Lazer recently took their shot at giving Boing Clash Boom by Dada Life a rework. The end result was out of this world. So far, this is just a preview (although an extended one at that) and the track itself is going to be released "soon" on Dada Life's new label, So Much Dada. This info and more on their Soundcloud

On the heels of every epic release, the remix floodgates open wide. Knife Party just released the Haunted House EP and it was absolutely massive. Two duo's, BMBX CRTL, out of ST. Paul, MN and Candyland, out of Santa Barbara, CA took very little time in remixing my favorite track on the EP, LRAD. They are both rather Trapped out, but each has its own unique elements to keep it from sounding too similar. BMBX CRTL chose to stick with the original tracks Latin flare, while Candyland decided on a heavier Dubstep/Electro influence. Each track is available for free on the groups Soundcloud, and also in the players below.

Following a historic celebration of its inaugural double-weekend event just two months ago – what was by far the biggest in its 15-year history – the globally renowned ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL has revealed the official ticketing details for its March 2014 festival.

With the 16th edition set to take place once again in Miami from March 28-30, it’s been revealed that tickets for 2014 will go on sale on Tuesday, May 21 2013 at 1pm ET.

Early Bird tickets priced at $149.95 (undoubtedly among the least expensive weekend tickets for any major festival in the world) will be available for purchase by the general public from 1pm ET exclusively at www.ultramusicfestival.com for what is expected to be a very limited time only (Early Bird tickets for last year’s event sold out in less than 5 minutes). General Admission and VIP tickets will also be available from 1pm ET.

Big shout out to our friend Modus! A few weeks ago he released a serious banger which was just selected by the EDC Discovery Project. He'll be heading out to NYC next weekend to perform at the festival, so make sure you catch his set there. Believe me, you won't regret it. Last week French electronic dance music quartet DIRTYPHONICS got freaky in the second episode of their “Irreverence Tour” video series, which documents the band on their current North American “Irreverence Tour.” The craziness continues in a special Miami episode released today (May 15) on Dirty TV.

Following DIRTYPHONICS during Winter Music Conference, the special Miami episode gives a behind-the-scenes look at their various performances at some of Miami’s hottest parties this year—the Dim Mak Pool Party at Raleigh Hotel,Stacked: Miami at Finnegan’s River and SMOG vs Basshead at Mekka Nightclub. The video captures their unique stage production: four members working their own set of turntables and live electronics. Also appearing in the video are EDM royalty Steve Aoki, Krewella, Flux Pavilion, Bare Noize, Datsik and 12th Planet.

DIRTYPHONICS will continue to release several episodes of the video series throughout their 30+ date “Irreverence Tour” in support of their debut full-length album IRREVERENCE, out now on Dim Mak Records. On IRREVERENCE, the Paris-based group—Charly, Thomas, Pho and Pitchin—merge heavy bass music, drum n’ bass, dubstep and electro with grimy club energy, supported by collaborations from the likes of Steve Aoki, Modestep, Liela Moss (vocalist of The Duke Spirit) and Foreign Beggars.  Fans are already eating up “DIRTY,” the first single from the album, and “Walk In The Fire,” out now as part of a three-song EP package including remixes by Schoolboy and Culprate.

Recently, Tiesto has serving up some hot remixes that hit harder than ever before. However, with this new single, Take Me, he seems to be returning to his more melodic roots - accompanied by simple yet beautiful lyrics. THE WAIT IS OVER! Set to release 21 May, Daft Punk's Random Access Memories was leaked this morning, a full week before its official debut in Australia on the 17. Undoubtedly the most anticipated album of the year, I have to admit that it is not at all what I expected. Fans hoping for another "One More Time" will be a little disappointed, but that doesn't mean that the album hasn't been worth waiting for.

The album reflects a common attitude amongst electronic music lovers: nostalgia for simpler times. With random industrial screeching and top-40 vocalists not so slowly taking over the scene, many EDM fans have been jonesing for some good old-fashioned dance music. And in many ways, Random Access Memories is just that. The mega-funky "Get Lucky," for example, is simple but solid, and "Doin' It Right" will without a doubt soon be your late-night go-to jam. There is only one sample on the entire album and the only electronics featured are some synths and a vocoder. In this respect, we can't help but give the pair mad props for staying true to the sound that made them so ultra-famous in the first place.

On the other hand, I can understand why others are a little confused about all the hype. Tracks like "Game of Love" and "Motherboard" are, yes, groovy, but also somewhat anti-climactic, and there are no fat drops or epic basslines. The pair has never been big-room, but I can't say there's a single track that carries the same energy as "Around The World" and this is something I think I can safely say we were all really hoping for.

All in all, Random Access Memories is good, but I'm glad I didn't jump on that plane ticket to Australia. Though the two have already said they are not touring this year, I am still holding out hope that they will appear on some magical mystery lineup yet to be revealed so I can finally get the Daft Punk fix I have been craving for so many years.

This is the newest remix from one of my current favorites, Spaveech. Here, he gives us his take on the Tommy Trash Vs. Aston Shuffle banger, Sunrise (Won't Get Lost). While I absolutely loved the original, this version slows everything way down, and gives it a completely new dynamic. The infusion of other tracks throughout creates a surreal world that the listener gets to float idly through, while the different soundscape's act as a guide. The syths are ethereal, the bass is crunchy, and the flow is epic. What more could you really want?

Since I have been out of the country the last several days, I was not able to post this on the day of it's release, but I am damn happy to bring it to you now. Signal is the newest release from DJ Carnage, a Trap/Electro mastermind, and it features the duo New & Used out of Cali. I will be more than surprised if this does not become a mainstay festival anthem as the 2013 festival circuit gets into full swing. Signal is a wild, fist in the air type, Electro track that is infused with Carnage's heavy bass and 808's we have come to know and love. It is massive, raw, and will leave you drained by the end.

Last night San Francisco deejay Giraffage dropped his remix of the iconic track "Music Sounds Better With You." Almost 15 years after its original release, the track still makes us groove, especially with this new synthy spin on it.
