Masquerade 1

It's almost time....... Los Angeles State Historic Park will host Swedish House Mafia’s highly-anticipated Masquerade Motel concert event on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th! This massive show will feature Swedish House Mafia’s final West Coast performances as well as an all-star lineup of special guests including Nero, Alesso, Zedd, An21, Max Vangeli and much more.

The Saturday show is sold-out and tickets are going fast for the Friday performance. Given the very large fan turnout anticipated – up to 70,000 people over the course of both days -- park and city officials strongly urge fans to take note of the following information:

ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID MISSING ANY OF THE SHOW! With such a high attendance expected fans that don’t plan on getting to the venue early stand a great risk of missing the concert.

Doors will open at 2 PM. The show will start at 3:30 PM. Detailed set times are listed below

Metro is a great way to get to the show, and is free for all ticketholders (on day of show). Why drive when you can ride! Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) service is a convenient alternative, and is free for all Masquerade Motel ticketholders on show day. All fans need is their concert ticket (a receipt will suffice for Metro riders picking up tickets at will call).

Getting there is easy on the Metro Gold Line. Fans can take the Gold Line to the Chinatown Station (901 N Spring St, Los Angeles 90012) and then walk a short distance to the Los Angeles Historic State Park. Fans can also take the Blue Line, Red Line subway or the new Expo Line to connect. The Chinatown Station adjacent to the park is served by Metro Bus lines 81, 83 and 84.

Trains run every 12 minutes throughout the day and every 20 minutes after 7 p.m. The last train northbound to Pasadena-bound stations departs the Chinatown Station at 2:14 a.m. The last train southbound to Little Tokyo and East L.A. stations departs the Chinatown Station at 2:05 a.m. and connects to the last Red Line train at Union Station at 2:12 a.m. The last southbound train to Union Station departs at 2:33 a.m. Plan your best route using the Trip Planner at metro.net. A map showing Metro routes and parking locations is included below.

For fans driving to the venue, heavy traffic and congested streets are anticipated at and around the venue for this show. Arrive at venue early to help avoid traffic delays. Fans are encouraged to check traffic patterns before getting on the road in order to plan their route. Go to: www.sigalert.com and www.511.com.

Since there are multiple routes to L.A. State Historic Park by car, fans need to take note of directional signage and freeway message boards. Los Angeles Department of Transportation and the Los Angeles Police Department will deploy throughout the area and will update freeway signage to help direct fans to the venue as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Carpooling is strongly encouraged. The small difference between four versus three people riding per car results in thousands of fewer vehicles on the road, greatly streamlining traffic and parking, not to mention reducing harmful exhaust emissions. Plus, carpooling offers attendees a lower-cost option.

While L.A. State Historic Park does not have any parking on-site, several public lots are located nearby.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and catch a screening of the Swedes’ 2010 documentary Take One in the Masquerade Motel Ballroom. Filmed over the course of 2 years, 253 gigs and 15 countries by directors Christian Larson and Henrik Hanson, Take One offers fans an unprecedented look at Swedish House Mafia on stage and behind the scenes. Fans can also enjoy free popcorn while watching the movie.

In addition to enjoying Take One and getting earlier entry to the show, early arriving fans will get a first look at tour merchandise. Restrooms will also be available at various locations immediately outside the venue prior to doors.

Keeping it going... Just last week, Swedish House Mafia announced that a 2nd ticket auction would be held for their Black Tie Rave charity event being held Feb. 28th at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom.   The newly released tickets will be up for auction starting this Friday, February 1st at 10am EST via Ticketmaster with proceeds going to support Save the Children’s initiative to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in America, where nearly one in four lives in poverty. In the wake of the school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14th, the organization is calling for a National Commission on Children that will address the issues of violence, mental health and poverty.   The first round of tickets were auctioned off in December and with under a third of the tickets sold, an astonishing $447,000 was raised for the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund in support of hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

It was also confirmed that Pete Tong will fly in to support Swedish House Mafia at this special event alongside Carl Kennedy!

Anticipation for One Last Tour has been building stateside since the dates were announced last year.   The originally announced U.S. dates all sold out in minutes causing the group to add multiple shows.  The tour has become one of the biggest tours of the year and is the group’s most extensive outing ever.   Most shows are now sold out however fans can still purchase tickets for shows on Feb. 17th in San Francisco and March 8th Masquerade Motel in Los Angeles.

The full line up for One Last Tour was revealed last week. Armand Van Helden will play his first NYC gig in five years when he joins the Swedes at Madison Square Garden on March 1st alongside the Legendary Pete Tong. Pete Tong and Carl Kennedy will play with Swedish House Mafia at their Feb. 28th Black Tie Rave charity event and Tong will also open for the Swedes at Barclay’s Center on March 2nd.  AN21, Anthony Atalla, Max Vangeli, NO_ID and Otto Knows will all open on select dates throughout the tour (full listing below).

The massive outing started in November in Dubai and has made stops throughout India, Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, South Africa and will visit Australia and Mexico before reaching the states Feb. 13th.  The North American leg will hit San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, NYC, LA and Miami.  It.  was announced last month that the final curtain call for One Last Tour will happen at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, marking a significant milestone in the group’s career together.  Ultra is where Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso played their first festival headline in North America.  They will play both the opening night of the festival on March 15th and the closing on March 24th in what is sure to be an emotional farewell to the group’s millions of fans across the globe and promises to create unrivalled memories for fans and the group alike.  A full list of tour dates can be found below.

Must Have Original Mixes

Chances are you are going to be clubbing, raving, or partying hard this holiday season. Well, before you do, you should probably grab the following original mixes and get to know them. Sometimes there's just nothing better than the original... and these songs are bound to be some of the most played by DJs in all genres around the world! (That's my prediction). And isn't it just way more fun to know the songs? Hope this helps:

Felguk - Bassive - This song is exactly what the title suggests: Bass + Massive!

Hatiras, Will Bailey - Swagnum P.I. - Can't pinpoint the style or sound but it's crazy and fun!

Denzal Park - Nammos - Denzal Park has been making moves... no wonder, great jam!

Gareth Emery - Tokyo
- A harder sound than we usually hear from Gareth, but a true banger!

Marcus Schossow - Las Vegas - Really catchy vocal breakdown. Should be a Vegas anthem!

Peter Luts - Cayo - One of the best house tracks of the month! Hope to hear lots from Luts...

Miles Dyson - Trackster - Brand new banger from the up and coming Electro whiz!

Mat Zo, Arty - Mozart - These two progressive/trance all-stars team up for uplifting epicness!

Enjoy and see you on the dance floor!
