 AC 2

Once again, Adventure Club gives us a perfect mix.  Latley this duo has been hitting all the right notes and thier fans are loving every second of it.  With a little dubstep balanced by some Edm and House style mixes, this track is just the right amount of everything.  This "Superheroes Anonymous Volume 1" set is just a glimps of AC's new project.  Rumor is that more additions and volumes will be made in this series.

AC has landed a spot in Chicago's Lollapalooza lineup at the begining of August.  Just the thoughts of what they have in store for a show like that gives me goosebumps.  This 38 minute set is just a window into the world that is Adventure Club.  Their range of styles may vary, but their delievery is always the same; and it rocks the shit out of your speakers.

Make sure to follow these guys closley, because all I can say is there's a lot more in store from AC.

CHEMICAL BROTHERS NEW TRACK FOR OLYMPICS

The dance music scene has created a remarkable craze for itself and now has shifted its attention into the world of sports.First, Armin brought us "We are here to make some noise" a track that was produced for the European Football Championships... and now with the Olympics just around the corner, English electronic duo The Chemical Brothers bring us,"Theme for Velodrome".

The track will be the soundtrack of the cycling events that will be held in East London's new Velodrome in the Olympic Park and was composed because of the producers passion for cycling. The track has a melodic synth and a dark sinful bass to go along with it. It hit the airwaves first on the Zane Lowe show on BBC radio one. Needless to say, this is another BIG achievement for EDM and as a blogger and music lover I couldn't be any happier. Check it.

Sander van Doorn to Release Collab with Bloc Party’s Kele

"What Did I Do" is the latest monster tune to come from the masterful mind of Sander van Doorn.
In collaboration with Bloc Party's Kele, Sander continues his meritorious rise as one of the most in demand producers in dance music today,
Like a thoroughbred breaking from the gate, "What Did I Do" will get your pulse pounding and bodu moving from not one. Infectious melodies are layered perfectly with easy to relate lyrics, sure to cause more than a few hands-in-the air sing-along moments in the very near future
With the morphing of pop into dance music over 2011, this song rests quite comfortably between the two. Challenging perceptions has been a strong suit for Sander, and he continues to open up peoples' musical horizons by being a true producer, not a genre slave.
The track is set to drop on December 26 on his very own Doorn Records, but in the meantime here's a way to bump "What Did I Do" as we all await...

DxE Feature Artist: DR. TROUT

With his debut EP "The Big Tuna EP" just released on Big Alliance Records, new up and coming producer/DJ Dr. Trout has just made his first splash in the EDM scene. His sound is one that all of us here at DxE fell in love with from first listen and we know you'll all feel the same way. So who exactly is Dr. Trout? The man himself was kind enough to fill us in and give us a little sneak peak of where this fish may be swimming --
DxE: So who's behind the "Dr. Trout" alias?
Trout: My real name is Ryan Loomba and I'm 22 years old. I've lived in the Bay Area, CA my whole life up until I graduated high school and moved down to LA to attend college at the University of Southern California. I'm currently residing up in San Francisco.
DxE: How'd the name came about?
Trout: The name actually came about during a ski trip with some friends in Lake Tahoe. We were all joking around and started calling one of our friends Dr. Trout. Ever since that it became sort of an inside joke. It's very absurd sounding and memorable, so I thought it'd be cool to use as a production alias.
DxE: How would you describe the "Trout sound" to someone who's never heard your music before?
Trout: It's melodic, complex electro house. I like to use catchy melodies coupled with dirty beats and filthy wobbles. Also, I try and stress the importance of actual musicality in my music. I hear a lot of "complextro" electro house artists who foget about melodies and arrangement and focus far too much on sound design - leaving nothing but random noises going all over the place.
DxE: Who would you say are your greatest influences either within the EDM scene or elsewhere?
Trout: I would say my greatest influences are a lot of the "complextro" elecrto guys. Wolfgang Gartner, Mord Fustang, Lazy Rich, Porter Robinson, Darth & Vader, Dirtyloud, and Dilemn are the main ones that come to mind.
DxE: What can we expect from Dr. Trout for the rest of 2011 and into 2012?
Trout: Production wise, you can expect my second EP "The Magic Conch EP" to come out on Monday October 17th. I've got more electro projects under way, with some vocalists lined up. I'm also trying out some dubstep, so we'll see how that ends up. I'm starting to play some gigs locally and hopefully around the US and Canada in the near future. Stay posted on my facebook fanpage for details!
As he said, make sure you follow the Trout on facebook and keep track of all his newest releases via his soundcloud. The Doctor himself was kind enough to provide DxE followers a full 128 kpbs version of his first EP, but if you like it and want to be a true supporter, purchase the EP, as well his upcoming one and all future tracks off of beatport. Big ups to Ryan, can't wait to see how far upstream this Trout will go.
