In an age that has become flooded with "button-pushing" and simple cross-fading, the art of mashups and bootlegs have taken the EDM world by storm. Aside from simply combining 2 or 3 songs into a gem, there have been the few who have gone the extra mile. Taking from the example of French teen phenom, Madeon, Nishin Verdiano has just recently released his own 'Musical Revolution,' combining over 100 songs into this 6-minute track. We got the chance to ask Nishin about what the process was like mixing and mashing so many songs into such a short period of time:
"To be honest, I had no serious plan for this project. I started on it like 2 months ago, but thought I would never finish it because my PC was lagging all the time when I opened the project file. Some weeks ago, Madeon uploaded his minimix which is also a mashup, and I thought I'm gonna leave mine because it would be hard to beat his (even if we have quite a different style). I respect this guy and he is for sure a big inspiration for all electronic music artists. Friends convinced to release it because it was almost finished and it was a lot of work for me. So I did, and I'm very excited because of all the feedback and support. I LOVE IT!"
Using tracks old and new, throwing in vocal samples from every which way, it's truly hard to compare the two. One thing is for sure though, this "track" is absolutely amazing and a must have no matter what genre you call your favorite!
