I first heard this track at the beginning of Dirty South's set at the LED event that took place at the San Diego Sports Arena (one of the best events I've had the privileges of attending) and pretty sure it was the first time the man from Down Unda had ever dropped it live.
Yesterday, Phazing Records officially released the Dirty South remix of “Devil’s Work” from Miike Snow – named Essential New Tune for Miami Music Week by Pete Tong, Dirty South’s interpretation of “Devil’s Work” is one of the most talked about remixes of the spring and a mainstay in the sets of the world’s finest DJs.
It’s been an amazing year for Miike Snow as they continue their sold out tour in support of of the critically acclaimed sophomore album, “Happy To You.” The band follows up an amazing performance at Coachella (they played to a record-breaking crowd of over 45,000, headlining Stage 2 on Saturday) with dates in Paris, Cologne & Berlin before heading to the UK for Brixton Academy London & Manchester Ritz - their largest UK shows to date.
Dirty South is perhaps the most versatile talent currently working in the dance world. In 2011 he experienced tremendous growth on all facets of his game - As a producer he produced two of last year’s biggest hits in “Alive” (with Thomas Gold) and “Walking Alone” delivered remixes which were instant global anthems with his take on Diddy Dirty Money “Coming Home” and Skylar Grey “invisible.” In January 2012 Dirty South reunited with Thomas Gold for one of the winter’s biggest tracks, “Eyes Wide Open (ft. Kate Elsworth)”
After all the anticipation release day is finally here…it’s time to do the Devils Work.
