Due to the sheer demand expected both internationally and domestically this year, ID&T have opted for a ‘first come first served’ queuing system powered by ticketing partner ‘Paylogic’, who’ve a proven track record in dealing with events of this size. The queue will start at 10.00AM (as soon as tickets go on sale), and the website will keep track of your position in line. BE WARNED – DO NOT press F5/refresh – this will automatically take you back to the end of the line, and diminish your chances!
This year sees the addition of the brand new and super massive ‘ Big Top’, the biggest tent ID&T have ever used. Inside, some of the hottest names in electronica will be tending to the decks and shaking Mysteryland to its very core. A-List guests in the brand new ‘Big Top’ will include Swedish wunderkind Avicii, Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, French house maestro Martin Solveig and Holland’s very own Hardwell. The closing of Mysteryland each year is always one of the many highlights where no expense is spared; the man honoured with the task of closing The Big Top is the nation’s favourite - the one and only Fedde le Grand.
The remainder of Mysteryland’s twelve stages are marked by diversity. A-Trak presents his Fools Gold Clubhouse stage with guests including Fake Blood, Tiga and Riton, while Loco Dice, Reboot and Simian Mobile Disco will be headlining the new open air Monade Stage; there’s Drum & Bass by UK bass legend Goldie; techno by stars such as Jeff Mills and Speedy J; the all time favourite Dirty Dutch Stage with music provided by the likes of Chuckie, Zedd, Dillon Francis and Porter Robinson; hardstyle from Headhunterz and Zany; deep house by Seth Troxler, Subb-an and Laura Jones…the list of international and homegrown heroes goes on and on! A suicide Tuesday is a slang term for the weekday blues one might experience after an especially good weekend of partying. For me, Tuesday is usually the day my ears stop ringing and the posts, texts and photos from my friends have all been exchanged and have slowed to a trickle of new updates. For the purposes of this blog, the Suicide Tuesday post is going to be a weekend recap of live shows and events; by Tuesday, official photos and videos are often up and the tracklist is usually already ascertained.
If you're reading this, I hope you made history this weekend along with Tiesto and over 26,000 other people, including yours truly. If you were unable to make it or, like me, dancing as close to the stage as possible, here is the complete scope of the maximal crazy finale. Skip to around 6:45 if you want to go straight to the fireworks. Wear a sweater, tis goosebump inducing.
Words can't describe how truly unforgettable this night was, so I won't even attempt it, but I'll let you relive it yourself. For a video of the end of Porter's set, videos of the full Dada Life and Tiesto sets, a full tracklist for Tiesto and a downloadable zip containing all the songs in his set, click past the jump.
Since the bass heavy parts tend to get drowned out in the Tiesto videos, the vids are more useful to gauge the size of the crowd and the energy of his show. However, we do have a full tracklist + downloads of all the songs if that's more your style.
Although I first snagged the tracklist here, Jon Rieks at thisrieks.com was kind enough to put up downloadable links to the entire set. I grabbed the few songs I didn't have already and threw it all together in a .zip (alphabetical, not in the order of the set...fml)
Can't get enough Tiesto? Subscribe to his Club Life podcast (new release every Monday) here
Unless you've been living under a rock, you're aware that Tiesto has been on his US College Invasion Tour for the past month and half, hitting some of the biggest party schools as well as popular suggestions from college kids on his facebook page. It culminates tomorrow night in what is being billed as the largest single DJ show in US history when 25,999 fans and I show up to the Home Depot Arena in LA to see the likes of Porter Robinson, Dada Life, and Diplo as well as the god himself, Tiesto.
Continue past the jump for some huge jams from these artists to bump in your pregame, as well as some bangers that have been showing up in their recent mixes.
If you're as big of a fan of Porter Robinson as I am, then today is your lucky day. The 19-year old prodigy from North Carolina just released his new EP, and all I have to say: WOW! Not only are there some solid electro tracks with great vocals, but Porter also dabbles in some dubstep, and even Moombahton! There are also some noteworthy remixes by artists like Kill the Noise, Mikkas, and Knife Party. Please support the artist and purchase the EP on beatport, you wont regret it.
A second six pack coming your way, this week all from artists hitting the decks today/night at Insomniac'sAudiotistic Festival. Was super bummed to hear about Arty being forced to cancel due to visa issues, but still hoping to hear each of these tracks at some point during the night. Cheers!
This track is absolutely INSANE!!! Both drops are killers (especially with some real speakers n bass), just try and block out that it's Lady Gaga singing... or just start the track at 1:44... either works.
Most of us have already heard Porter Robinson's massive remix of this track, but recently released were 2 new remixes of the Spencer & Hill track Less Go! Chrizz Luvly ventures to go even one step dirtier than Porter and Glitter jumps in with a progressive mix. Enjoy.
