Sandro Silva releases “Let Go Tonight EP”; new single “Libra” out now on Ultra Music

On December 11, Ultra Music released rising Dutch star Sandro Silva’s “Let Go Tonight” EP. The first track from the EP, “Libra” is available now on Beatport.

The “Let Go Tonight” EP is like a mini DJ set rolled up into an EP. The music ebbs and flows; changing direction from gentle and uplifting to peak time pop and harder underground sounds. “Libra” has already made its way into sets from the world’s biggest DJs and it’s a gorgeous instrumental set for the time when the club is about to go off. “Let Go Tonight” showcases Sandro’s traditional songwriting abilities and features Jack Miz’s vocals over a powerful hook and deft production. Next, as the name implies, “Thug” is a nasty beast…a real bully. It comes at you right from the beginning with its twisted electro and knocks you right to the ground.

While only 22 years old, Sandro Silva is somewhat of a veteran in the dance music space. A virtuoso on the piano, Sandro got his start producing in 2006 at the tender age of 16 – preceding the “EDM movement” by years. Being a fan of a wide range of dance music, Sandro has fused multiple styles to form a sound that is his own. From harder edged instrumental singles to vocal friendly commercial leaning tracks, Sandro floats effortlessly between both worlds. In short order, Sandro has released his own music on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records, his mentor Laidback Luke's Mixmash Records and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom to name a few. Sandro’s track “EPIC,” a collaboration with Quintino released on Musical Freedom, was a huge chart topping success with the video receiving more than 5 million YouTube views. As a remixer, Sandro has remixed tracks for Pitbull, Ricky Blaze, Laidback Luke, Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, David Guetta and Drop The Lime.

Yeah yeah its Pitbull and, even worse, Marc Anthony. Another track of which the original I would never recommend to anyone, but yet this pack of remixes was just too good to hold back. Huge names all over the place, but lemme recommend checking out the ones you may not have heard before (especially Sven Kirchhof's)... they really do go way harder than those we'd already expect it from.

The man who revolutionized the planet, or should I say the iPlanet, passed away yesterday after truly leaving his mark on the world. Even with all the obituaries, articles, and letters written about Jobs and his career I'm not sure there's anything quite like having dutch mastermind DJ Chuckie release this unbelievable mashup in his honor. If you haven't heard the original track "Epic" by Sandro Silva and Quintino it really is, for lack of a better word... EPIC! Enjoy these mashes and I'll throw in the original also for you. RIP Mr. Jobs.
